WHO IS ANGIE BELCHER?

Angie is an award winning facilitator, coach and stand-up comedian who combines her love of creativity and personal development to help to inspire people to achieve their true potential. As a facilitator Angie trains, supports and encourages people to feel comfortable in being confident, passionate and authentic. Her clients have included The BBC, The Prince's Trust, Capita, Future Lab, FSA, London 2012 and UWE Bristol. A proud graduate of The Institute for the Development of Human Potential, she holds a masters diploma in Humanistic Psychology for facilitation and coaching. Angie also relishes sharing her unique take on creative ambition and personal growth through motivational speaking and lecturing.

Comedy

Drawing on her experience as a professional performance poet, stand-up comedian and teacher her projects embody professionalism, integrity, and creativity. An expert communicator she regularly compere’s Glastonbury Festival’s raucous Cabaret Tent and is an accomplished stand-up comedian and writer ("Highly recommended, go see her”, Phil Jupitus) Her show “Mythical Creature” won North East Theatre Guide’s best show at the Edinburgh Festival and she gained 3rd Place in What The Frocks’ best UK Comedy Newcomer competition 2015. Angie is currently stand up comedy tutor at Circomedia in Bristol, is a writer in Residence for First Story in London and Poet in Residence for Literature Works. Every summer you can normally find her compering the Cabaret Tent at Glastonbury Festival. She also runs The Comedy Depot.

Writing

Angie Belcher is an award winning stand- up comedian, script writer and poet who’s equally at home on the comedy circuit as in a posh tent at a literature festival . An accomplished comedy performer Mythical Creature is her second Edinburgh show (**** Fringe Review, “Part stand-up, part poet part stylised story telling all hugely entertaining" John Fleming, "Highly recommended, go see her”, Phil Jupitus)  She was also Team Captain for political comedy panel show Comedy Manifesto during its Edinburgh run (“Unbelievably jealous of all those of you that can catch this show every day'” ***** BroadwayBaby.com). A regular festival performer she has compered Glastonbury Cabaret tent and won numerous poetry slams as well being lyrical laureate for events and happenings. She also recently wrote and directed "What Has Shakespeare Ever Done for us?" a piece of public flash theatre which will tour the UK in2018 and her 4 part comedy drama “My Funny Valentine" was featured on Radio 4. Angie also writes for corporate clients, having written odes for all sorts of clients from Cider shops to Audio Visual companies. In 2012 she commissioned by the city of Bath to write poetry to welcome home the Olympic Gold medalist Amy Williams. Her latest play Waiting For Pedro recently premiered in Bristol.

Angie’s  alter-Ego and crap poet “Odious Vex” is currently on tour with his show “An Arts Council Grant Don’t Come for Free”

She also holds a masters Diploma in Humanistic Psychology for Creative Facilitation and is in much demand to run workshops in schools, universities and in the corporate sector.

She is currently writer in residence for Severn Vale School in Gloucester

Angie’s clients have ranged from delivering courses in Employability and communication for national NGO’S to lecturing for London’s trendy Design Agency D and AD. Her other clients include BBC, The Prince’s Trust, Capita and WISH, London. She’s an award–winning trainer (Financial Services Authority’s best UK facilitator) and professional coach teaching negotiation and presentation skills to CEO’s and staff.  She regularly lectures at some of the country’s top universities including Oxford, Reading, Nottingham Trent and Gloucestershire. Angie also relishes sharing her unique take on creative ambition and personal growth through motivational speaking and lecturing, her bravery seminar is currently touring the UK. A proud graduate of The Institute for the Development of Human Potential, she holds a masters diploma in Humanistic Psychology for Facilitation, Leadership and coaching.
